imc on board of Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+
In August 2019, Bugatti broke the 300mph barrier with the Chiron Super Sport 300+ on the test track in Ehra-Lessien at 304.77 mph (490.48 km/h). An imc data acquisition system was on board.
This was the first time that a world speed record has been set with a vehicle approved for road use.
The car magazine TopGear filmed the record drive - starting at minute 1:31 the speed that pilot Andy Wallace reaches with the Bugatti Chiron is shown on the imc display.
The imc display is an additional hardware, it is a frequent add-on for imc DAQ systems in driving tests. In autonomous operation mode - the imc C-Series, imc CANSAS, imc CRONOSflex or imc CRONOS-XT are particularly suitable for mobile, distributed acquisition of measurement data in the automotive sector - the display allows the test driver to see the recorded data. Functions created in imc STUDIO, such as start/stop of the measurement, functions for online data analysis with imc Online FAMOS or a selection of predefined test modes can be called up via the control elements on the screen.
